About The Position

Chesterbrook Academy Preschool is seeking an energetic and nurturing part-time Preschool Teacher Assistant, Floater, to join its early childhood education team. The program aims to spark curiosity, build confidence, and support children’s development through discovery and play. The assistant helps create a safe, engaging classroom where children can explore, develop independence, and build early learning skills. The listed schedules are 12 p.m.–6 p.m. or 3 p.m.–6 p.m.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age and meet state licensing requirements.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior experience in a licensed childcare center.
• Passion for early learning, creativity, and helping children discover new skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement interactive, age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
• Foster a warm and consistent classroom routine that helps preschoolers feel secure and confident.
• Build positive partnerships with families through open, ongoing communication.
