About The Position

Guidepost Montessori is seeking an on-call Substitute Teacher to support mixed-age Montessori classrooms when full-time teachers are absent. This as-needed role supports multiple classrooms serving children ages 0–6 and helps maintain a calm, engaging, nurturing learning environment. No formal Montessori training is required; training is provided during orientation and onboarding. Hours and days vary based on school needs, making the position suitable for people seeking flexible or supplemental work. Substitute teachers may have the opportunity to move into full-time Assistant Teacher roles.

Requirements

• Negative TB test within the last 12 months.
• Valid state background check.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Warm, friendly, and dependable demeanor.
• Passion for working with young children.

Nice To Haves

• Early Childhood Education (ECE) units.
• Recent experience working with children ages 0–6.

Responsibilities

• Step into classrooms as needed to support children and maintain consistency.
• Assist with daily routines and classroom activities across mixed-age groups.
