About The Position

The Preschool Center Director leads a preschool center at The Learning Experience, creating a positive, inclusive environment for children, families, and employees. The director oversees health and safety practices and compliance with local and state licensing regulations; recruits, trains, coaches, and engages staff; and guides teachers in implementing the company’s proprietary curriculum. The role also manages center business operations, including accounts receivable and payable, monthly profit-and-loss reporting, and employee payroll. The director engages prospective families through in-person and virtual tours and organizes community marketing events to support awareness and enrollment.

Requirements

• At least three years of center leadership or management experience is required.
• Possess the state-specific Administrative or Director credential and meet other state-specific guidelines for the role.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Five or more years of center leadership or management experience is highly preferred.
• A bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is highly preferred.
• Daycare or preschool experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and foster trust, rapport, and inclusivity among children, employees, and diverse groups of people.
• Ensure the center’s physical environment follows health and safety procedures and complies with local and state licensing regulations.
• Source, train, coach, and engage current and prospective employees to build and maintain a highly qualified staff.
• Guide teachers in implementing the proprietary curriculum and use the program’s characters to support engaging learning experiences.
• Drive family retention and conversion, enrollment growth, and efficient business operations.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable, generate monthly profit-and-loss reports, and oversee employee payroll.
• Conduct in-person and virtual tours for prospective families.
• Organize and execute community marketing events to raise awareness and drive enrollment.
