About The Position

The Center Director leads a preschool and oversees its school operations while supporting the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children. The Director works with staff to create a warm, inspiring, educational, caring, and safe environment, and keeps parents informed and engaged. The role also promotes positive relationships with the surrounding community and ensures the school operates in accordance with company and state licensing standards.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field required.
• Must meet state education requirements and the company’s center/school requirements.
• At least 2 years of Center Director experience in a licensed child care facility required.

Responsibilities

• Manage school staff by planning work schedules, evaluating staff performance, and developing performance improvement plans.
• Assist with implementing the company-provided curriculum by coaching teachers, communicating standards, and interpreting standards for teachers.
• Ensure the school operates in accordance with company and state licensing standards.
• Promote a positive partnership within the surrounding community.
• Help children discover new things and support their self-esteem in an educational, caring, and safe environment.
• Recruit, select, and retain quality staff.
• Keep parents informed and engaged.
