About The Position

As a member of the Prepared Foods team, you will serve customers, fill orders, and ensure fresh products are available at the salad bar, sandwich area, hot foods, and beverage bar. You will receive full training and may assist customers in other store areas, including the Deli and Meat Departments. The role calls for a supportive team player who is eager to help the team succeed, grow toward leadership, and inspire others.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• No high school diploma is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary customer service by greeting customers in the department and ensuring orders meet their expectations.
• Learn about store products to answer customer questions and make suggestions that enhance the shopping experience.
• Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner throughout the store.
• Handle products and equipment according to food-safety and safety guidelines.
• Replenish products in prepared foods cases, rotate products, and follow code-dating procedures.
• Accurately record special orders for prepared foods products.
• Maintain cleanliness of the department and work area, including the back room.
• Help maintain the efficiency of the prepared foods cooler and freezer by unloading deliveries.
• Rotate products and check code dates to help ensure customer safety.
• Assist in other departments as required.
