About The Position

As a member of the Prepared Foods team, you’ll serve customers, fill orders, and ensure fresh products are available at the salad bar, sandwich area, hot foods, and beverage bar. You’ll receive full training and may assist customers in other store areas, including the Deli and Meat Departments. The role calls for a supportive team player who helps colleagues succeed and is eager to grow in leadership.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary customer service by greeting customers in the department and ensuring orders meet their expectations.
• Learn about store products to answer questions and make suggestions that enhance the customer’s shopping experience.
• Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner throughout the store.
• Handle products and equipment according to food-safety and safety guidelines.
• Replenish prepared foods cases, rotate products, and follow code-dating procedures.
• Accurately record special orders for prepared foods products.
• Maintain cleanliness in the department and work area, including the back room.
• Help maintain the efficiency of the prepared foods cooler and freezer by unloading deliveries.
• Rotate products and check code dates to help ensure customer safety.
• Assist in other departments as required.
