About The Position

Under general supervision, the Prep Cook prepares a variety of food products using kitchen equipment and utensils according to recipe cards to fulfill guest orders while following company policies and procedures. The role maintains a clean, well-organized food preparation area, delivers food, and assists guests as needed. The Prep Cook demonstrates integrity, service, and hospitality when interacting with customers and coworkers, and has general knowledge of the hotel, surrounding area, and events to answer questions. The position supports the bartender but does not make or pour alcoholic beverages.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to take written and verbal directions in English and speak English clearly.
Ability to operate relevant machines and equipment, including POS software, dishwashers, and kitchen equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members at all levels.
Ability to handle difficult situations and people diplomatically while maintaining professionalism, including interactions with bar guests.
Ability to move around the bar and kitchen area effectively and efficiently.
Ability to clean and maintain assigned areas.
