About The Position

Under general supervision, the Prep Cook prepares a variety of food products using kitchen equipment and utensils according to recipe cards, fulfilling guest orders in accordance with company policies and procedures. The role maintains a clean, well-organized food preparation area, delivers food, and assists guests as needed. The Prep Cook demonstrates integrity, service, and hospitality when interacting with customers and coworkers, and maintains general knowledge of the hotel, surrounding area, and events to answer questions. The role supports the bartender but does not make or pour alcoholic beverages.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to take written and verbal direction in English and speak English clearly.
• Ability to operate machines and equipment used in the role, including POS software, dishwashers, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members at all levels, and to handle difficult situations and people diplomatically while maintaining professionalism, including with bar guests.
• Ability to clean and maintain assigned areas.
• Ability to move around the bar and kitchen area effectively and efficiently.
