About The Position

The Premium Culinary Cook is responsible for prepping, preparing, and cooking products according to recipe specifications and food safety and sanitation guidelines. The individual should have a reasonable knowledge base of fundamentals of the kitchen, including knife skills and organization. The Cook has the ability of running a station within the kitchen without constant supervision. This is a part-time, event-based role supporting concerts, Memphis Grizzlies Basketball games, and University of Memphis Basketball games.

Requirements

• 1 year or more experience in foodservice or hospitality.
• Ability to interact with high profile guests and remain professional and dedicated to providing exceptional experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively by speaking and comprehending English.
• Ability to problem solve and make decisions with little guidance.

Nice To Haves

• An outgoing personality is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook products according to recipe specifications and food safety/sanitation guidelines.
• Know menu items specific to position.
• Possess fundamental skills of the kitchen, including but not limited to, seasoning, knife skills and organization.
• Understand and follow production guidelines and location appearance guidelines.
• Act with a sense of urgency and provide friendly, efficient service to teammates and guests.
• Practice proper product control and handling of all inventory and equipment.
• Adhere to Levy guidelines as stated in team member training manual and employee handbook.
• Thoroughly complete all set-up and breakdown responsibilities.
• Employ good safety and sanitation practices.
• Display a positive attitude toward teammates, managers and other groups.
• Be on time and ready to perform all required duties.
• Help fellow team members whenever necessary.
