About The Position

88 Tactical is seeking a dependable and hardworking Prep Cook / Line Cook to join the Founders Club culinary team. This position supports daily food preparation and works assigned stations during service to help maintain efficient Back of House operations. Typical shifts are 7:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., although additional shifts may be available based on business needs. The ideal candidate performs well in a fast-paced environment, works effectively with a team, and takes pride in consistent food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and organization.

Requirements

  • Previous prep cook, line cook, or professional kitchen experience preferred but not required
  • Availability to work typical 7:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. shifts
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and additional shifts as needed
  • Ability to follow recipes, directions, and established kitchen procedures consistently
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of kitchen equipment, food preparation, and food safety practices
  • Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and a positive attitude
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist wherever needed
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Commitment to hospitality, food quality, cleanliness, and teamwork

Responsibilities

  • Prepare proteins, vegetables, sauces, dressings, garnishes, and other food items according to established recipes and kitchen standards
  • Complete daily prep lists accurately and efficiently
  • Set up and stock assigned stations before service
  • Cook and prepare menu items according to recipes, ticket specifications, and presentation standards
  • Manage multiple orders while maintaining accuracy, quality, and appropriate ticket times
  • Ensure the kitchen is fully prepared for lunch, dinner, banquet, and special-event service
  • Maintain consistent portioning, cooking temperatures, and plate presentation
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, allergen, and health department requirements
  • Label, date, store, and rotate inventory using FIFO practices
  • Monitor station inventory and communicate low-stock items to kitchen leadership
  • Restock and maintain a clean, organized workstation throughout each shift
  • Properly cool, store, and secure food and equipment at the end of each shift
  • Support banquet, catering, and special-event preparation and service as needed
  • Work collaboratively with culinary leadership and Front of House employees
  • Assist with dishwashing, cleaning, and other general kitchen responsibilities when necessary
  • Complete opening, closing, and side-work duties as assigned
