About The Position

The part-time Premium Barback at Moody Center is responsible for stocking and maintaining bar supplies and ensuring equipment is clean and operational before events. The role pays $12.00–$17.00 per hour and is tip eligible. The position will remain open until December 31, 2026. The barback supports bartenders, maintains cleanliness and sanitation in the bar and surrounding areas, and helps uphold health and safety standards. The role also includes recognizing visibly intoxicated guests and alerting bartenders. Benefits for part-time roles include a 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching.

Requirements

Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully with employees, coworkers, management staff, and guests.
Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid food handling certificate and TABC certificate before working at Moody Center.
Ability to calculate basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages, as they relate to product inventory.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume bar capacity is preferred.

Responsibilities

Stock bar products, including non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages; ice wells; and move and tap kegs.
Provide bartenders with backup supplies such as fruit, napkins, cups, utensils, and stirrers.
Ensure location equipment is clean and operational before events begin.
Maintain cleanliness of the bar and surrounding areas, including mopping floors, cleaning and stacking floor mats, emptying and relining trash cans, and keeping closet areas free of debris and clutter.
Recognize guests who are visibly intoxicated and alert bartenders.
Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
