About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Pre-K Childcare Lead for our Before and After School Programs for the 2026–2027 school year. This role is ideal for individuals who love working with children, possess energy, kindness, and patience, and enjoy encouraging children's curiosity, creativity, and confidence. The ideal candidate works well with teammates, communicates effectively with families, and is reliable, organized, and committed to providing exceptional care. This position is part-time and follows the school calendar, with opportunities available for morning, afternoon, or both programs.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field.
  • Child Development Associate Credential or another Office-recognized credential specific to the preschool developmental period (with 1 year of experience).
  • 9 Credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field with a plan of study leading to Associates or other Office recognized credential (with 2 years of experience).
  • Must be medically cleared to perform all job duties and free of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB).
  • Demonstrates a positive, friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with children, parents, and team members.
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional in conduct and appearance.
  • Able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds, and meet the physical demands of working with children.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure kids are engaged, safe, and having fun every day.
  • Ensure the program reflects Healthy Kids Program’s model.
  • Ensure the site is fully staffed every day.
  • Ensure teachers are prepared, supported, and showing up for the kids.
  • Ensure the site operates in ratio at all times.
  • Ensure records are accurate and current.
  • Ensure the program is ready for inspection on any given day.
  • Ensure the site is well-stocked with the supplies and materials teachers need.
  • Restock supplies before they run out.
