About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Pre-K Childcare Lead for their Before and After School Programs for the 2026-2027 school year. This role involves working with children aged 3-12, ensuring they are engaged, safe, and having fun. The position requires maintaining program quality, ensuring adequate staffing, adhering to compliance standards, and managing inventory of supplies. The ideal candidate will love working with children, bring energy and patience, encourage curiosity and creativity, work well with teammates, and communicate effectively with families. Reliability, organization, and a commitment to exceptional care are essential. The role follows the school calendar with morning (7:30-9:00 am) and afternoon (2:55-5:15 pm) programs available, with opportunities for one or both shifts. This is a part-time, non-exempt position.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field.
  • Child Development Associate Credential or another Office-recognized credential specific to the preschool developmental period (with 1 year of experience).
  • 9 Credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field with a plan of study leading to Associates or other Office recognized credential (with 2 years of experience).
  • Must be medically cleared to perform all job duties and free of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB).
  • Demonstrates a positive, friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with children, parents, and team members.
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional in conduct and appearance.
  • Able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds, and meet the physical demands of working with children.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure children are engaged, safe, and having fun every day.
  • Maintain program quality according to Healthy Kids Program’s model.
  • Ensure the site is fully staffed every day.
  • Support teachers to be prepared and show up for the kids.
  • Operate in ratio at all times.
  • Ensure records are accurate and current.
  • Ensure the program is ready for inspection.
  • Ensure the site is well-stocked with necessary supplies and materials.
  • Restock supplies before they run out.
