About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Pre-K Childcare Lead for their Before and After School Programs for the 2026–2027 school year. The role involves working with children aged 3-12, engaging them through play and positive experiences, and fostering their curiosity, creativity, and confidence. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and committed to providing exceptional care, working well with teammates and communicating effectively with families. This position is part-time, non-exempt, and follows the school calendar with morning (7:30-9:00 am) and afternoon (2:55-5:15 pm) program opportunities.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field.
  • Child Development Associate Credential or another Office-recognized credential specific to the preschool developmental period (with 1 year of experience).
  • 9 Credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field with a plan of study leading to Associates or other Office recognized credential (with 2 years of experience).
  • Must be medically cleared to perform all job duties and free of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB).
  • Demonstrates a positive, friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with children, parents, and team members.
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional in conduct and appearance.
  • Able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds, and meet the physical demands of working with children.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure children are engaged, safe, and having fun every day.
  • Maintain program quality reflecting Healthy Kids Program’s model.
  • Ensure the site is fully staffed every day with prepared and supported teachers.
  • Operate in ratio at all times and maintain accurate and current records.
  • Ensure the site is well-stocked with necessary supplies and materials and manage restocking.
  • Work with teammates and communicate effectively with families.
