About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Pre-K Childcare Lead for their Before and After School Programs for the 2026–2027 school year. This part-time, non-exempt position is ideal for individuals who love working with children and are looking for a schedule that aligns with the school day. The role involves engaging children through play, fostering their curiosity and creativity, and ensuring a safe and positive environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and committed to providing exceptional care, working effectively with teammates and communicating with families.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field.
  • Child Development Associate Credential or another Office-recognized credential specific to the preschool developmental period (with 1 year of experience).
  • 9 Credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field with a plan of study leading to Associates or other Office recognized credential (with 2 years of experience).
  • Must be medically cleared to perform all job duties and free of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB).
  • Demonstrates a positive, friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with children, parents, and team members.
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional in conduct and appearance.
  • Able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds, and meet the physical demands of working with children.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure children are engaged, safe, and having fun.
  • Maintain program quality according to Healthy Kids Program's model.
  • Ensure the site is fully staffed and teachers are prepared and supported.
  • Operate in ratio at all times and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure the site is well-stocked with necessary supplies and materials.
