About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Pre-K Childcare Lead for their Before and After School Programs for the 2026–2027 school year. This part-time, non-exempt position is ideal for individuals who love working with children and are looking for a schedule that aligns with the school day. The role involves engaging children through play, encouraging their curiosity and creativity, and working collaboratively with teammates and families. The program locations are at Grafflin Elementary School and Roaring Brook Elementary School in Chappaqua, NY.

Requirements

  • Must meet one of the following: 9 Credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field with a plan of study leading to Associates or other Office recognized credential (with 2 years of experience).
  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field.
  • Child Development Associate Credential or another Office-recognized credential specific to the preschool developmental period (with 1 year of experience).
  • Must be medically cleared to perform all job duties and free of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB).
  • Demonstrates a positive, friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with children, parents, and team members.
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional in conduct and appearance.
  • Able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds, and meet the physical demands of working with children.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure children are engaged, safe, and having fun.
  • Maintain program quality that reflects Healthy Kids Program’s model.
  • Ensure the site is fully staffed and teachers are prepared and supported.
  • Operate in ratio at all times and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure the site is well-stocked with necessary supplies and materials.
