About The Position

The Practice Manager is responsible for daily operations management and supervision of assigned practice(s) in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. The practice manager will maintain regulatory compliance and is responsible for maintenance of licenses/certifications, primary source validation, proper credentialing with health system medical staff office and payers. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders (CBO, marketing, quality team, business development, finance, A/P, payroll, human resources, c-suite, facilities, vendors, corporate and local administration) to ensure effective and efficient practice operations. Practice manager will be the primary practice liaison to internal and external stakeholders. Manages departmental expenses cost effectively, monitors revenue cycle operations, volume and revenue generation to assure practice budgets are met and provider subsidies are kept to a minimum. Participates in annual operating and capital budgeting and provider and employee recruitment and onboarding. Demonstrates service excellence, conveys professionalism, and maintains appropriate confidentiality at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • In lieu of degree, 5-7 years of healthcare experience with at least two (2) years being in a supervisor capacity
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience, preferably in a healthcare environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, EMR systems, medical and billing terminology, healthcare/hospital office settings, service excellence, revenue cycle operations and recruiting, training, leading and performance management of staff
  • Multitasking, decision making, process improvement, project management, interpersonal communication, leadership, computer proficiency, excellent customer service and business savvy
  • Operate within the concept of patient focused care
  • Standard office equipment (laptop, computer, calculator, fax, copier, scanner)
  • HOPD or outpatient medical office setting
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and also multi-site travel
