About The Position

The Physician Practice Manager is directly responsible for managing the administrative and operational functions of an assigned medical practice or practices. The role supports smooth, efficient operations, including inventory control, personnel management, patient relations, and patient flow. The manager oversees goals and objectives, develops office procedures to improve workflow and operations, manages daily practice activities, and monitors budget and expenditures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3 years of progressive, hands-on managerial experience in a medical practice.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development and implementation of goals and objectives.
• Develop and implement office procedures as needed to improve office flow and overall operations.
• Manage daily operations, including staff scheduling, cash reconciliation, charge entry, and operational checks and balances.
• Manage Human Resources activities, including interviewing, hiring, orienting, and evaluating staff, and ensure optimal staffing.
• Review the operational budget and expenditures and help ensure the practice stays within budget parameters.
• Manage inventory control, patient relations, and patient flow.
