Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Veterinary Management, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of veterinary hospital management experience.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team management and client interaction.
  • Business acumen, including financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Proficiency in using practice management software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools.
  • Passion for animal welfare and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and client service.
  • Ability to lift 40lbs unassisted.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or CVPM (Certified Veterinary Practice Manager) certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to a team of veterinary professionals, support staff, and administrative personnel.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate staff members, ensuring a skilled and motivated team.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance the clinic's operational efficiency, client satisfaction, and revenue growth.
  • Monitor and manage the clinic's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Oversee inventory management, procurement, and vendor relationships.
  • Ensure exceptional client experiences by maintaining high standards of customer service, communication, and professionalism.
  • Address client concerns and feedback promptly and effectively, striving for continuous improvement in client satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations, industry standards, and best practices to uphold the highest quality of care and safety.
  • Implement and maintain protocols for patient care, medical records, and administrative procedures.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement strategies to attract new clients, retain existing clients, and enhance the clinic's reputation.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth, such as expanding services, partnerships, and community outreach.
  • Oversee the maintenance and organization of the clinic's physical facilities, equipment, and supplies.
  • Coordinate with IT support for technology systems, software, and hardware maintenance.
