About The Position

This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach ANT3144 A00, Practical Training in Research Methods in Anthropology, during the 2026 Fall Semester. The course focuses on practical training in research methods in anthropology and their ethical considerations. Students will develop and undertake a guided research project on a professor-chosen theme, including a literature review, research question formulation, fieldwork using selected research methods, thematic analysis of collected material, and write-up. The course is taught in English and has an expected enrollment of 45 students.

Requirements

  • PhD in anthropology or equivalent training in anthropology.
  • Demonstrable track record of expertise in the field of practical training in research methods in anthropology in the form of previous teaching experience in the same or similar course or through publications in the field.
  • Employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.
