About The Position

We're looking for a PR & Influencer Marketing Lead to build Planhat's earned-media and influencer engine from the ground up — securing press and podcast placements, coaching our executives for interviews and stage appearances, running influencer partnerships, and directing any outside PR agencies we bring in, so Planhat's name is already part of the conversation before a buyer ever searches for us. You'll own PR and influencer marketing end to end. From the first relationship you build to the systems that make this function run without starting over every time. In a year, you're succeeding if Planhat's executives are showing up regularly in press and on podcasts relevant to our buyers. You own a working, growing set of relationships with journalists, hosts, and influencers in our category. We’re continuing to see an increase of requests for our spokespeople to be onstage, podcasts and interviewed for articles in top tier publications. Awareness is measurably higher. More people at our target accounts recognize Planhat's name. PR and influencer marketing is a real, systematic function at Planhat.

Requirements

6–9 years running press, PR, or influencer programs in-house at a B2B SaaS or tech company, with real placements and relationships you can point to.
A sense for what's actually newsworthy and the craft to write a pitch that can cut through the noise.
You invest time in building relationships with journalists, podcast hosts, and influencers for the long term.
Comfortable using AI tools to move faster on research, drafting, and monitoring, and building repeatable systems with them rather than starting from zero every time.
Comfortable coaching executives and other non-marketers to sound like themselves in interviews and on stage.
Comfortable being the first person to build a function from nothing with no existing playbook or team to lean on.

Responsibilities

Stay deeply fluent in what Planhat builds, how we're positioned, and the value it creates, and turn that fluency into pitches, bylines, and talking points that carry our narrative.
Build and maintain relationships with the journalists, podcast hosts, and industry voices who cover B2B SaaS, tech, and AI.
Live inside tech Twitter/X and the influencers driving the AI and B2B conversation, catching trends early enough to bring our CEO a specific way to get into them while they’re active.
Turn launches into sequenced drumbeats, coordinating events, podcasts, press, and content so each moment builds on the last
Prep and coach our executives for press interviews, podcasts, and speaking opportunities, sharpening the story they tell as much as booking the calendar
Identify and run influencer, creator, and customer partnerships, from first outreach through content and distribution
Track coverage and share of voice — where Planhat is (and isn't) showing up in the conversations our buyers are having — and use it to decide what to pitch next
Brief and direct any outside PR agencies we bring in, so what they pitch matches our story and their placements actually land
