Power Truck Repair Mechanic ($5000 signing bonus)
About The Position
Arconic is hiring a Power Truck Repair Mechanic and offers a $5,000 signing bonus. The starting rate of pay is $37.155. The successful candidate will be required to complete a probationary period. The role maintains and repairs industrial power trucks and other plant vehicles, including vehicles powered by gas, diesel, LP, and electricity. Work includes repairing vehicle components and structures, servicing and lubricating vehicles, diagnosing problems using schematics and testing equipment, performing cutting, burning, tack welding, and non-destructive testing, and maintaining work records and databases. This position is subject to export control laws and may require government authorizations for access to controlled technology.
Requirements
- Verified vehicle and/or truck mechanic.
- Two to five years of on-the-job experience as a mechanic.
- Successfully complete and pass the Truck Repair Mechanic testing requirements.
Responsibilities
- Dismantle, repair, redesign, rebuild, modify, and assemble vehicle components and structures, including engines, electrical systems, transmissions, and hydraulics on gas, diesel, LP, and electric industrial power trucks and other plant vehicles.
- Lubricate and service plant vehicles using gas, oil, grease, air, water, hydraulic fluids, and transmission fluids.
- Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, blueprints, and service manuals; use testing equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot.
- Perform cutting, burning, and tack welding, as well as non-destructive testing.
- Enter time and maintain records, logs, reports, and databases.
- Complete a probationary period.
