About The Position

The Power Solutions Manager promotes Generac Industrial products and provides technical sales support, focusing on Modular Power System, large kW, and Clean Energy solutions. The role supports project completion by assisting Generac Direct-Sales Teams and Distributors, and by working with electrical engineering and construction firms to have Generac products specified and sourced. The position also delivers training seminars to the electrical engineering community using a pre-packaged curriculum. The territory is Kansas City, with assistance for other Midwest locations as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Five years of technical sales or sales support experience, or completion of Generac’s sales rotational program (Market Focused Sales Manager).

Nice To Haves

Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree.
Power generation or engine generator paralleling experience.

Responsibilities

Identify key engineering firms and develop strategies to meet, educate, and persuade them to specify Generac generators and transfer switches or accept Generac as an equal.
Educate key engineering firms about MPS paralleling concepts and the value of working with Generac and its Distributors.
Promote Generac Industrial products and provide technical sales support onsite and remotely, with a focus on the Modular Power System solution.
Use sales tools to strategically develop the assigned geographic region and Dealer network, including PDSS, fly-ins, customer visits, Engineering Symposium, and Power Design Pro.
Provide real-time voice-of-customer feedback to Sales Management and Product Management.
Assist Direct-Sales Teams and Distributors with specific projects and work with electrical engineering and construction firms to have Generac products specified and sourced.
Conduct training seminars for the electrical engineering community using a pre-packaged curriculum.
