About The Position

This position is responsible for managing freight flow by moving, scanning, and handling freight manually and/or with power equipment. It involves maintaining merchandise supply by replenishing pallets of merchandise onto/from racks or docks using warehouse systems or through verbal instructions. The role also includes providing basic maintenance to equipment, ensuring freight quality by processing stray and damaged cases, inspecting pallets, shrink wrap, and freight for damage, and maintaining records, logs, and forms. Additionally, the position involves organizing the warehouse by using power equipment to remove pallets from pallet returns, up-stacking/down-stacking empty pallets, and up-stacking/down-stacking freight. Requirements

  • The hourly wage range for this position is $21.95 - $25.45
  • The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
  • Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
  • Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
  • Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Responsibilities

  • Manage freight flow by moving, scanning, and handling freight manually and/or with power equipment.
  • Maintain merchandise supply by replenishing pallets of merchandise onto/from racks or docks using warehouse systems or through verbal instructions.
  • Provide basic maintenance to equipment (e.g., clean, inspect).
  • Ensure freight quality by processing stray and damaged cases; inspecting pallets, shrink wrap, and freight for damage; cutting shrink wrap as needed; and maintaining records, logs, and forms.
  • Organize warehouse by using power equipment to remove pallets from pallet returns (e.g., pallet storage, trailers); up-stacking/down-stacking empty pallets; and up-stacking/down-stacking freight.
