About The Position
Waste Connections is seeking an Equipment Operator for its Timberlane Landfill in Oakdale, Louisiana. The role operates heavy equipment, including dozers and compactors, to support safe and efficient landfill operations. The operator works outdoors in all types of weather and helps maintain a clean, safe, and compliant facility. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional weekends. Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience operating a dozer and compactor.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment, including dozers and compactors.
- Compact waste efficiently and safely.
- Transport dirt and other materials as needed.
- Act as a spotter to support safe on-site operations.
- Perform daily checks, cleaning, and basic maintenance on equipment.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and compliant facility.
