About The Position

NOVO Health Services is hiring a Soiled Sorter at its Skokie facility. NOVO provides linen management solutions to the healthcare industry, with a focus on safety and infection control. The role sorts soiled healthcare linens on a belt, maintains quality standards for soil sorting and cart cleaning, and follows safety procedures. This is a physical, fast-paced position requiring associates to meet the demands of an entire 10-hour shift.

Requirements

Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and stack individual items from the machine for long periods.
Demonstrated customer service and organization skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job for the entire 10-hour shift, including lifting 50 pounds or more.

Nice To Haves

High school education, GED, or formal education/training.
One to two years of experience in healthcare, manufacturing, or a similar industry.

Responsibilities

Sort large linen items, including bath blankets, flat sheets, draw sheets, and thermals.
Sort medium-sized items, including underpants, patient gowns, and fitted sheets.
Sort other items, including bath towels, washcloths, hand towels, and scrubs.
Adhere to quality standards for soil sorting and cart cleaning.
Understand, observe, and follow all safety procedures and policies.
Assist with and perform other duties as assigned.
