About The Position
Carvana is hiring for entry-level automotive roles at its Inspection Center in West Memphis, Arkansas. Available positions include Detailer, Lot Attendant, Photobooth Associate, and Inspection Associate. Detailers wash, clean, and buff vehicles; Lot Attendants move vehicles between departments; Photobooth Associates photograph vehicles for online listings; and Inspection Associates inspect vehicle interiors and exteriors and identify imperfections or defects. The position offers starting pay of $16.00–$17.00 per hour, based on experience. Two schedules are available: Monday–Friday, 6 a.m.–3 p.m., or Monday–Thursday, 4 p.m.–3 a.m. Locations may require mandatory overtime based on business needs. The work takes place in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may involve exposure to heat or cold. Employees use safety equipment such as face shields or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, masks, and other protective garments and equipment. Carvana provides training programs for entry-level employees to help their skills and pay progress. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license; some positions may require a Motor Vehicle Records check.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to heat or cold.
- Must use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
- Must pass a complete background check.
- Must be able to work mandatory overtime based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Depending on the selected position, detail vehicles by washing, cleaning interiors, and buffing exteriors.
- Move vehicles from one department to another within the Inspection Center.
- Photograph vehicles for customer-facing online listings.
- Inspect vehicle interiors and exteriors and accurately identify imperfections or defects.
- Work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
