About The Position

Carvana is hiring for entry-level automotive roles at its vehicle Inspection Center in Old Hickory, Tennessee. Available positions include detailing vehicles; moving vehicles between departments; photographing vehicles; and inspecting vehicle interiors and exteriors to identify imperfections or defects. Entry-level training programs are offered to help employees develop their skills and progress in pay.

The position starts at $17 per hour and is scheduled for the first shift, Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. The work takes place in a fast-paced production environment and may involve exposure to hot or cold weather, operating vehicle equipment and tools, and using protective safety equipment. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver's license; some positions may require a Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Be able to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
• Be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes while exposed to hot or cold weather.
• Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments or equipment.
• Be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

• Depending on the assigned position, detail vehicles by washing, cleaning interiors, and buffing exteriors.
• Move vehicles from one department to another within the Inspection Center.
• Photograph vehicles for customer viewing.
• Inspect vehicle interiors and exteriors and accurately identify imperfections or defects.
