The Post Doctoral Fellow will join PREMISE (PrEP Epidemiology, Modeling, and Surveillance), a collaborative and interdisciplinary group conducting NIH-funded research to inform the U.S. HIV epidemic response. The study uses national PrEP data and legal and policy coding to assess the scope and equity of PrEP scaleup and examine how locality-specific programs and policies affect PrEP starts and equity. The fellow will lead and contribute to quantitative and natural-experiment research in HIV epidemiology and prevention, develop and publish research findings, and support dissemination, grant writing, and project development. The role is part of the Programs, Research & Innovation in Sexual Minority Health (PRISM Health) team in the Epidemiology Department at Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health. The fellow will work closely with a Principal Investigator while receiving advanced training intended to strengthen professional skills and research independence. The appointment is a temporary research-trainee position, initially for one year, with renewal expected when progress is satisfactory and funds are available. Appointments may not exceed five years. The role offers mentorship and career-development support, including support for fellows interested in developing and submitting K grant proposals. The role regularly permits work from home, but requires the fellow to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based on business needs and departmental guidelines. The employee must reside in Georgia. Emory may change the remote-work status with notice.
