About The Position

The Porter supports dealership operations by assisting customers who drop off vehicles for repairs, moving and maintaining vehicles for display and sales activities, and helping with vehicle deliveries and shuttle support. The role also includes cleaning and maintaining vehicles, monitoring tire pressure and adding air or fuel as needed, identifying general vehicle repairs or building maintenance concerns and notifying management, keeping the store, showroom, and lot clean, and running errands for the store. Candidates must be able to operate a variety of cars, light trucks, and vans with manual and automatic transmissions, and provide professional, customer-focused support.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Ability to operate a wide variety of cars, light trucks, and vans with both manual and automatic transmissions.
Team player focused on providing exemplary customer service.
Professional appearance and work ethic.
Effective interpersonal communication skills.
Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in the state of residence.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers dropping off vehicles for repairs.
Move and work with vehicles to maintain display and support sales activities.
Deliver vehicles and assist the shuttle driver as required.
Thoroughly clean and maintain all vehicles.
Monitor vehicle tire pressure and add air and fuel as needed.
Recognize general vehicle repairs and building maintenance needs and notify management.
Maintain the internal and external appearance and cleanliness of the store, showroom, and lot.
Run miscellaneous errands for the store.
