About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a U-Box Customer Care Representative (local delivery driver) to handle U-Box containers and provide customers with friendly, courteous service. The role involves operating a flatbed truck and a propane or truck-mounted forklift, loading and unloading storage containers, and transporting them on local routes to and from customers’ homes and businesses. Training is provided for the truck and forklift. The driver also participates in ongoing education through U-Haul University.

The position is based at 1500 International Drive, Spartansburg, South Carolina 29303. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. U-Haul states that it will not hire or re-hire nicotine-product users in certain listed states, including South Carolina.

Requirements

• Clean motor vehicle driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Department of Transportation certification.
• Commercial driver’s license (CDL).
• Must be 18 or older.
• Must be legally authorized to work and must not require employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Operate a flatbed truck; training is provided.
• Operate an 8,000-pound propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift; training is provided.
• Load and unload storage containers for delivery.
• Transport storage containers to and from specified destinations, such as customers’ homes and businesses, on local routes only.
• Participate in ongoing continuous education through U-Haul University.
