About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a U-Box Customer Care Representative (local delivery driver) to handle U-Box containers and provide customers with friendly, courteous service. The role operates flatbed trucks and forklifts to load, unload, and transport storage containers on local routes to and from customers’ homes and businesses. Training is provided for operating the flatbed truck and forklift, and employees participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. U-Haul will not hire or re-hire nicotine users in states where that practice is permitted by applicable law.

Requirements

• Clean motor vehicle driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Department of Transportation certification.
• Commercial driver’s license (CDL).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Operate a flatbed truck; training is provided.
• Operate an 8,000-pound propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift; training is provided.
• Load and unload storage containers for delivery.
• Transport storage containers on local routes to and from specified destinations, such as customers’ homes and businesses.
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
• Provide customers with friendly and courteous service.
