Portable Storage Delivery Driver (CDL)
About The Position
U-Haul is hiring a U-Box Customer Care Representative (local delivery driver) to handle U-Box containers and provide customers with friendly, courteous service. The role operates flatbed trucks and forklifts to load, unload, and transport storage containers on local routes to and from customers’ homes and businesses. Training is provided for the flatbed truck and forklift. The employee also participates in ongoing education through U-Haul University. The position is based at 3601 Santa Rosa Av, Santa Rosa, California 95407. Compensation is $24.75 to $26.75 per hour. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. U-Haul states that it will not hire or re-hire nicotine users in the listed states, consistent with applicable state law.
Requirements
- Clean motor vehicle driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Department of Transportation certification.
- Commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- Must be 18 or older.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Operate a flatbed truck; training is provided.
- Operate an 8,000-pound propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift; training is provided.
- Load and unload storage containers for delivery.
- Transport storage containers on local routes to and from specified destinations, such as customers’ homes and businesses.
- Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
- Ensure customers receive friendly and courteous service.
