About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a U-Box Customer Care Representative (local delivery driver) to handle U-Box containers and provide customers with friendly, courteous service. The role is based at 331 US Hwy 70 SW Suite 101, Hickory, North Carolina 28602, and involves local delivery routes only. Training is provided to operate a flatbed truck and an 8,000-pound propane forklift or truck-mounted forklift. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. U-Haul does not hire or re-hire nicotine-product users in the states listed in the posting.

Requirements

Clean motor vehicle driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Department of Transportation certification.
Commercial driver’s license (CDL).
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Operate a flatbed truck; training is provided.
Operate an 8,000-pound propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift; training is provided.
Load and unload storage containers for delivery.
Transport storage containers to and from specified destinations, such as customers’ homes and businesses, on local routes.
Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
