About The Position

The Food & Beverage Pool Server maintains a clean, professional work area and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food to patrons of the pool grill. The role requires knowledge of menu items, beverage brands, cocktail recipes, beer, wine, and other prepared beverages, and compliance with state regulations governing alcohol service and consumption. The server provides timely food service, follows the Steps of Service, collects payment, keeps the bar and grill area clean, completes assigned cleaning tasks, and uses Micros and end-of-shift reports. Regular attendance and carrying out reasonable management requests are also essential.

Requirements

At least 1 year of previous bartending or serving experience in a hospitality environment.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of previous bartending or serving experience in a hospitality environment.
Alcohol Awareness Certification.
Food Safety Certification.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean, professional work area.
Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food to patrons of the pool grill.
Learn menu items, beverage brands, cocktail recipes, varieties of beer and wine, and other prepared beverages.
Comply with state regulations regarding alcohol service and consumption.
Serve hot and cold food to guests in a timely manner.
Follow the Steps of Service, including greeting guests, upselling, establishing rapport, serving, pre-bussing, thanking guests, and inviting them back.
Collect payment for beverages and food served in the pool grill area.
Keep the area in and around the bar grill clean and free of clutter.
Perform assigned general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products to adhere to health standards.
Use Micros and complete end-of-shift reports.
Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company standards.
Carry out reasonable requests by management.
