About The Position

The Pool Server serves food and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to patrons of the pool grill area while maintaining a clean, professional work area. The role requires knowledge of menu items, beverage brands, cocktail recipes, beer and wine varieties, and other prepared beverages, and compliance with state regulations regarding alcohol service and consumption. The server provides timely food service, follows the steps of service, collects payment, keeps the bar and grill area clean, and completes assigned cleaning tasks. The position also requires knowledge of Micros and end-of-shift reports, regular attendance, and carrying out reasonable management requests.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of previous bartending or serving experience in a hospitality environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Team-first attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Alcohol Awareness Certification.
• Food Safety Certification.
• The qualifications also list 1+ year of previous bartending or serving experience in a hospitality environment as advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, professional work area.
• Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food to patrons of the grill area.
• Know and provide service for menu items, beverage brands, cocktail recipes, beer and wine varieties, and other prepared beverages.
• Comply with state regulations regarding alcohol service and consumption.
• Serve hot and cold food to guests in a timely manner.
• Follow the steps of service, including greeting guests, upselling, establishing rapport, serving, pre-bussing, thanking guests, and inviting them back.
• Collect payment for beverages and food served in the pool grill area.
• Keep the area in and around the bar and grill clean and free of clutter.
• Perform assigned general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products to adhere to health standards.
• Maintain full knowledge of Micros and end-of-shift reports.
• Maintain regular attendance and carry out reasonable management requests.
