About The Position

The Pool & Beach Bartender serves beverages and prepares drinks while providing efficient, timely, and caring service to guests in the bar and restaurant areas. The role involves helping guests select drinks, maintaining knowledge of menu offerings and standard beverages, supporting food and beverage sales, processing orders and payments, and keeping the bar stocked, clean, and safely operated in accordance with Mauna Lani and Forbes standards.

Requirements

• Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Ability to obtain Tuberculosis clearance.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate preferred.
• Previous related experience preferred.
• CPR and/or first aid certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with beverage and drink preparation and service in the bar and restaurant areas efficiently and promptly.
• Communicate with guests about their needs and satisfaction with beverages, providing consistently caring, high-quality service.
• Know the drinks listed on the menu and standard drinks to help guests choose based on their preferences.
• Comply with Mauna Lani and Forbes standards used in the bar and restaurant outlets.
• Support food and beverage sales by knowing drinks, cocktails, spirits, other menu items, specials, and prices.
• Take and enter orders accurately and quickly into the Micros system, ensuring correct timing and billing.
• Prepare guest checks accurately and collect payment or a signature as required.
• Operate, maintain, and properly clean bar equipment and fittings.
• Keep the bar well stocked.
• Use safe food-handling procedures and maintain a safe working environment by following food-handling skills and food-safety guidelines.
