About The Position

The Pool Bartender provides beverage service to resort guests in a fast-paced, outdoor pool environment, delivering a friendly and engaging luxury guest experience. The role prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and service standards, maintains a clean and organized bar, and follows food safety and responsible alcohol service regulations. The Pool Bartender anticipates guest needs, recommends specialty cocktails and menu items, and provides attentive service in a dynamic beachfront setting. Strong mixology knowledge, efficient multitasking, and a positive, professional demeanor are important.

Requirements

• Hospitality or related industry experience.
• Ability to stand for 8–10-hour shifts.
• Ability to pull, push, and carry boxes weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in temperatures that could reach 90 degrees.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED is a plus but is not required.

Responsibilities

• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
• Follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Complete orders for beverages and supplies.
• Arrange bottles and glasses for an attractive display.
• Maintain a clean and neat work area.
• Slice and pit fruit for drink garnishes.
• Wash bar glasses and dishes.
• Check guest identification and comply with state and federal laws.
• Use effective sales techniques to upsell food and beverage products.
• Respond to questions and special requests.
• Provide information and directions.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
