About The Position

The Pool & Beach Bartender assists guests with beverage and drink preparation while providing efficient, timely, caring, and high-quality service in the bar and restaurant areas. The role involves knowing the menu and standard drinks, helping guests choose beverages, supporting food and beverage revenue, processing orders and payments, maintaining bar equipment and stock, and following applicable service and food-safety standards.

Requirements

Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Ability to obtain Tuberculosis clearance.

Nice To Haves

High school graduate.
Previous related experience.
CPR and/or first aid certifications.

Responsibilities

Assist guests with beverage and drink preparation and service in the bar area and restaurant.
Engage with guests about their needs and satisfaction with beverages and drinks, ensuring caring, high-quality service.
Know the drink menu and standard drinks to help guests choose beverages based on their preferences.
Comply with Mauna Lani and Forbes standards used in the bar and restaurant outlets.
Contribute to food and beverage sales by knowing drinks, cocktails, spirits, other menu items, specials, and prices.
Take and enter orders accurately and promptly into the Micros system, ensuring correct timing and billing.
Prepare guest checks accurately and collect payment or a signature as required.
Operate, maintain, and properly clean bar equipment and fittings.
Keep the bar well-stocked.
Use safe food-handling procedures and maintain a safe working environment in accordance with food-safety guidelines.
