About The Position

The Pool Attendant promotes water safety among guests and maintains the pool, spa, and pool deck at Verdana Village in Estero, Florida. The position is seasonal and part-time, lasting six months or less, and pays $20.00 per hour. The attendant welcomes residents and guests, helps ensure compliance with Association Rules and Regulations, and keeps the pool area clean and orderly.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests.
Positive, can-do attitude, including during high-stress situations.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to swim is highly desirable.
Prior experience in a related position is helpful.

Responsibilities

Welcome and greet residents.
Interact with members, guests, and team members in an attentive, friendly, and courteous manner.
Ask members for a membership card to ensure non-members are not using the pool, when applicable.
Set up umbrellas and cabanas and neatly arrange pool furniture.
Ensure residents comply with Association Rules and Regulations.
Report malfunctions immediately to a supervisor.
Keep the area free of trash and debris.
Empty pool-deck trash containers as needed throughout the day.
Empty trash containers and lower umbrellas before leaving at the end of each shift.
Promote water safety and maintain the pool, spa, and pool deck.
