About The Position

This position will be responsible for greeting guests arriving at the pool; in addition to tending to the cleanliness of the pool deck and providing quality guest service to the members and guests at our main resort pool.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Must be able to communicate in English and be able to express themselves accurately and concisely.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations, in a quick, courteous manner.
• Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch or crawl.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to work in an outdoor environment throughout the day and perform general pool maintenance tasks.
• Must be able to use chemicals and equipment safely.
• Must be able to react to emergency situations in a calm, professional manner.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hospitality experience preferred.
• Knowledge of pool cleaning and general pool maintenance is a plus but will train quality individual.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare chairs, lounges and umbrellas, according to the pool diagram.
• Open all umbrellas.
• Place towels in guest chairs.
• Stock towels in towel cabana.
• Filter backwash (as needed) and perform chemical and water level maintenance.
• Brush and vacuum pool and hot tubs. Scrub all pool tiles.
• Open towel cabana for guests and provide guest services including rentals and sales of products.
• Update conditions board as needed.
• Keep pool area clean of dishes, glasses and trash at all times.
• Provide pool towels to guests.
• Return pool towels to the laundry for washing.
• Maintain control of pool towels by using the pool towel-tracking sheet.
• Maintain pool chairs, lounges and umbrellas in clean, working condition.
• Report maintenance and safety concerns in a timely manner.
• Assist with pool parties and events as needed
