About The Position

Bay Creek Resort in Cape Charles, Virginia, is hiring a part-time, seasonal Pool Attendant. The position lasts six months or less and supports facility operations and guest recreation at a fast-paced hospitality-focused property. The attendant helps maintain clean facilities, answers guest questions, supports recreation programs and events, processes reservations, and follows established safety and cash-control procedures. The role takes direction from the Facility Coordinator, Special Event and Youth Coordinator, and Conference Recreation Coordinator. No prior experience or training is required; CPR and First Aid certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility cleanliness according to established daily maintenance procedures.
• Stay up to date on department programs, events, and activities and answer guest questions about them.
• Record cash, checks, and charges according to established cash-control procedures.
• Understand operating procedures for the pool, bikes, boats, and fitness equipment.
• Complete opening, closing, and daily procedure checklists.
• Take direction from the Facility Coordinator, Special Event and Youth Coordinator, and Conference Recreation Coordinator.
• Assist with programs, youth programs, special events, and conference recreation events.
• Provide a safe environment within facilities and activities.
• Process recreation reservations as needed.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as required.
