Pool Attendant
About The Position
The Pool Attendant supervises and maintains the hotel pool area, ensuring that only authorized hotel guests use the facilities and that guests follow safety rules. The role includes greeting guests, distributing and collecting towels, monitoring towel inventory and pool water quality, and notifying maintenance about water-quality discrepancies. The attendant opens and closes the pool area, cleans and disinfects pool seating in accordance with CDC/COVID guidelines, and cleans and maintains public restrooms in and around the pool. The position may also assist with housekeeping and other back-of-house work as needed and provide guests with recommendations for nearby activities and eateries. Work days and hours vary. Other duties may be assigned by supervision. The position is supervised by the AGM.
Requirements
- Ability to bend at the waist.
- Ability to reach overhead.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to work outside in hot or cold weather.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
- Ability to comply with facility, guest, and personal safety procedures.
- Availability for a schedule with varying days and hours of work.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the pool area and monitor people entering to ensure only authorized hotel guests use the facilities.
- Clean and disinfect pool seating in accordance with CDC/COVID guidelines.
- Maintain order at the pool and ensure guests adhere to safety rules.
- Greet guests.
- Monitor pool-towel inventory.
- Distribute and collect pool towels.
- Monitor pool water quality and inform maintenance of discrepancies.
- Open and close the pool area.
- Assist in housekeeping and other back-of-house areas as needed.
- Recommend nearby activities and eateries to guests.
- Clean and maintain public restrooms in and around the pool area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
