About The Position

As a Poker Room Attendant at MGM Grand Detroit, you will help create an excellent guest experience by greeting guests entering the poker room and building positive, lasting relationships. You will learn about guests’ needs and provide memorable service. The role includes placing guests into games, answering questions, assisting with game operations, maintaining poker table banks, tracking players, and evaluating play for complimentary purposes.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Nice To Haves

• One year of prior poker experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Place guests into games.
• Develop customer relations and facilitate use of the MGM rewards card.
• Explain rules and answer guests’ questions.
• Open games in accordance with the supervisor’s instructions.
• Get players’ checks and maintain poker table banks to ensure efficient operation.
• Track players using a computer tracking system.
• Evaluate play for complimentary purposes.
