About The Position
The licensed professional provides medical care to patients under supervision of a licensed psychiatrist. Primary responsibilities will include diagnosing and treating mental illness by providing psychotherapy and managing medication.
Requirements
- Current State of Illinois licensure in good standing as Advanced Practice Nurse and RN.
- National certification as Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatric Training (ANCC) Board Certified (or elligibility to obtain) Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner -- PMHNP-BC
- Current CPR certification must be maintained (BLS).
- A minimum of 5 years previous experience in behavioral health nursing is required.
Nice To Haves
- Based on prescriptive authority, active Mid-level Practitioner Controlled Substance License and DEA License a plus
