This position involves responding promptly to requests from guests and other departments, filling and transporting carts with supplies to assigned areas, and entering guest rooms following established procedures. Responsibilities include replacing guest amenities and supplies, changing linens, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, removing trash, and checking the condition of room appliances. The role also requires maintaining the appearance of rooms by dusting, polishing, and removing marks from furnishings, as well as vacuuming carpets and performing floor care duties. The position requires adherence to all company and safety policies, reporting maintenance issues, completing safety training, and properly storing flammable materials. A professional appearance and demeanor are expected, along with maintaining confidentiality. The role involves interacting with guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and thanking guests with appreciation. Effective communication with colleagues and supporting team goals are essential, as is ensuring quality expectations are met. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds without assistance and over 25 pounds with assistance, push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart, reach overhead and below the knees, and perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for extended periods is also required. Reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors are to be performed.
