Plumbing Service Technician
About The Position
Russo Bros & Co is hiring an experienced Plumbing Service Technician in East Hanover, New Jersey, to provide residential plumbing service to customers across Morris, Essex, Union, Bergen, Passaic, and Somerset counties. The role involves performing installations, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting while delivering efficient, high-quality customer service. The position is full-time, pays $40–$55 per hour plus incentives, and offers flexible scheduling, including options for weekend shifts. Technicians use a take-home company truck and company-provided tools and equipment as applicable.
Requirements
- Previous plumbing experience; journeyman or equivalent experience preferred, with 3–5 years of experience specified.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Positive, professional, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Trade school or certification is a plus.
- Journeyman or equivalent plumbing experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance in residential and/or commercial settings.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues accurately and efficiently.
- Install and repair piping systems, fixtures, water heaters, and related components.
- Operate and maintain company-provided tools, equipment, and service vehicle.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional appearance.
- Follow safety protocols, local codes, and company procedures.
- Document work performed and communicate effectively with team members and customers.
