About The Position

The Player Services Cashier handles casino and guest-service transactions, supports Players Club membership, and helps guests access promotions and property events. The role includes balancing a cash drawer and transaction records, answering guest questions, and operating a point-of-sale register for entertainment ticket sales. The position requires working at a fast pace in a potentially crowded and noisy casino environment, with exposure to second-hand smoke and bright lights.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• General cashiering or prior money-handling experience.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to stand, lift, walk, bend, and stoop throughout the shift.
• Ability to obtain a Louisiana gaming license.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, and bright lights.
• Ability to work at a fast pace in a crowded or noisy environment.

Nice To Haves

• Six months to one year of customer service experience is preferred.
• 10-key experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle financial transactions, including performing credit checks, releasing jackpot payments, exchanging cash for casino tokens, and cashing checks.
• Review player information against established criteria to determine PennPlay member admission qualifications; open new player accounts, issue replacement cards, and merge duplicate accounts.
• Account for transactions and balance books to ensure casino revenue accuracy.
• Address guest questions and concerns and provide exceptional guest service.
• Keep the cash drawer balanced and make exchanges with the vault when necessary.
• Communicate the benefits of Players Club membership to guests.
• Maintain knowledge of current and upcoming promotions, events, and property offers and communicate them to guests.
• Fulfill promotional offers redeemed at the club, including coupons, prizes, redemptions, entertainment tickets, and drawing tickets.
• Operate a point-of-sale register and accurately handle cash and credit card transactions for entertainment ticket sales.
• Participate and assist as needed with casino and property-wide events.
