About The Position

The Player Services Cashier handles cash, chips, keys, and payment-related transactions while assisting guests with Players Choice cards and promotions. The role supports casino operations by completing and reconciling cash transactions, maintaining accurate records, following compliance and safety requirements, and delivering superior customer service. This position has no supervisory responsibility. The work takes place in a fast-paced casino environment where smoking is permitted and noise levels are higher than normal.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must obtain licensing with the West Virginia Lottery and Racing Commissions every year of employment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to interact effectively with customers and employees and resolve problems or conflicts diplomatically and tactfully.
• Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs.
• Ability to interpret and follow instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Must be flexible to work all shifts, including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
• Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and others.
• Must meet physical demands including standing, walking, moving through casino areas, speaking, hearing, handling objects, reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, balancing, kneeling, lifting, and pushing or pulling. Must continuously lift or move up to 25 pounds and lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must have the vision abilities required for the position, including close and distance vision, color and depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of six months of previous cashier or money-handling experience is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Champion of Red Carpet Customer Service and building positive team spirit.

Responsibilities

• Distribute and collect keys; dispense and collect chips with security; and distribute jackpot payments to slot attendants.
• Order money through exchange slips.
• Verify exchanges from other windows and receipt transactions for various cashiers.
• Complete cash advances and cash personal checks.
• Perform marker-related transactions, including front money deposits and withdrawals.
• Deliver exchanges to cashiers.
• Explain Players Choice card uses, benefits, and current or upcoming promotions to guests.
• Issue Players Choice cards to new and existing guests accurately and efficiently.
• Assist Players Choice members with redemption transactions.
• Conform to CTR / SARC Compliance rules and regulations.
• Prepare and complete job-related paperwork, including cash count sheets and records of cash transfers and other value items.
• Keep drawer contents organized so they can be readily counted at shift change.
• Prepare and reconcile cash banks and sales for all outlets.
• Support and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
• Maintain behavior and appearance in accordance with established standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
• Follow regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
• Observe and enforce safety rules and regulations while looking out for customer welfare.
• Participate in meetings and trainings as required.
• Perform other duties assigned by department or company management.
