About The Position

Serves as a member of the front-line production team, performing tasks that support a high-capacity commercial laundry plant and help meet customer needs. Work may involve dryer or wash operation, stain washing, sewing and mending, soil sorting, folding, commercial ironing, packing, and distributing. The role maintains the flow of linen through production equipment and processes laundry in the designated order.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the flow of linen into tunnels, washers, dryers, and other production equipment.
• Pull bags and/or process other laundry activities in the designated order.
• Load linen into empty tunnel pockets as they transfer.
• Keep pockets correctly loaded with the proper load size and prevent overloading.
• Follow directions and safety precautions.
• Meet production standards as determined per hour.
• Notify a supervisor when frequent technical problems affect the ability to meet production standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
